The Social Audit Assistant is responsible for conducting field-level activities including but not limited to surveys and proper collection of data from market and communities, visiting carpet producers’ locations and train the weavers and other workers on following best practices for personal and environmental safety in the northern region. The incumbent is also expected to be an active member of the team in Balkh Office and carry out additional project-related activities during emergency situations.  

Overall Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Field Audit Officer and overall supervision of Regional Program Manager, the Social Audit Assistant conducts and coordinates social audits of carpet producer companies and carpet weaving centers in the northern region.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Mobilize the selected communities for participation in different project activities.
• Provide the health and hygiene briefing to selected communities during the field visits and meetings.
• Provide awareness and capacity building training to the selected communities.
• Conduct households visit and keep accurate records of visits and social audits.
• Participate in monitoring and verification process according to the need.
• Provide support to the team for successful, accurate and complete verification and monitoring of carpets under weaving in the villages and weaving centres.
• Cooperate with the program team on analyzing data and preparation of field audit reports.
• Negotiate with govern Exporters, contractors /sub-contractors for the betterment of living and working condition of the weavers in general.
• Provide health hygiene activity report and data to Medical Doctors.
• Any other task which is related to the community or according to the organization need.
