About RCY: Rehabilitation Center of Youth (RCY) Is a non-profit, non-governmental organization and registered with Afghanistan Ministry of Economy on 2006 which registration number (645) working in various fields of construction, health, agriculture, education and social protection. RCY is operating in the field of orthopedic and physiotherapy services in Jalalabad, Khost, Daydundi and Herat provinces. This project is funded by Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Management:
- Designing and implementing the work plan and obtaining approval from the project manager.
- Necessary coordination in the advancement of activities.
- Collaborate with project coordinators and data analysts to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Regular creation of filing system.
- Providing accurate daily, monthly and quarterly reports to direct supervisors.
- Run and update databases.
- Correct use of materials, tools and equipment related to the office.
- Regulating, maintaining and taking care of the property and goods of the department.
- Raising the level of knowledge and capacity building.
- Compliance with all ethical code, code of conduct, disciplines introduced by the organization.
- Obtaining complete knowledge about the organization and all the policies of the organization.
- Stay current with all regulations, requirements, and laws of government of Afghanistan
- Good behavior with clients and staff.
- Inform the direct commander in time of any kind of accidents that have happened.
- Carrying out other tasks assigned by the department.
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of medical supplies, equipment, and consumables.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring proper labeling, shelving, and categorization of items.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to monitor levels, identify discrepancies, and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and reduce loss or theft.
- Distribution and Dispensing:
- Prepare and pack orders for distribution to project sites, healthcare facilities, and mobile clinics as per requisitions and requests.
- Coordinate with project staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of required supplies and equipment.
- Maintain records of stock movements, including issuance, transfers, returns, and disposals, using appropriate documentation and tracking systems.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all stocked items meet quality standards and specifications, including proper packaging, labeling, and expiration dates.
- Conduct regular inspections of inventory to identify damaged, expired, or obsolete items, and take appropriate measures for disposal or replacement.
- Collaborate with procurement and program staff to address quality issues, supplier concerns, and product recalls promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all stock transactions, including receipts, withdrawals, and adjustments.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, consumption rates, and other relevant metrics as required by project management.
- Provide timely updates to project coordinators and stakeholders regarding stock status, shortages, and procurement needs.
Job Requirement
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or supply chain logistics is desirable.
- Previous experience in stock keeping, warehouse management, or inventory control, preferably in a healthcare or humanitarian setting.
- Familiarity with medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment commonly used in orthopedic and physiotherapy services.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventory databases.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Dari or Pashto; basic English language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned provinces and work in challenging environments
