Job Description

The Teller / Financing Administrator is responsible for handling both the teller and financing administration functions, including managing cash transactions, processing Financing, and maintaining accurate records and reports. This role combines duties from both teller and financing administrator to ensure efficient and professional service to clients while maintaining proper documentation and compliance with policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

A.   Teller Responsibilities:

 


  1. Cash Handling:

a)    Manage the cash drawer daily under the supervision of the Branch Manager.

b)    Handle all disbursements to and receive reimbursements from clients in a professional and courteous manner.

c)    Submit accurate daily cash reconciliations to the Branch Manager and HQ Finance Department.

d)    Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly physical cash counts.


  1. Reporting:

a)    Maintain accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash reports as required.

b)    Participate in daily cash reconciliations and cash requests with the Branch Manager.


  1. Bank Relations:

a)    Liaise with banks regarding cash arrangements for the branch.


  1. Documentation:

a)    Maintain proper documents and records for all cash transactions, including repayments, disbursements, expenses, and deposits.


  1. Additional Duties:

a)    Assist the Branch Manager in preparing for internal and external audits.

b)    Perform duties as required by the Branch Manager to support OXUS operations.

c)    Act as a financing administrator in the absence of one.

d)    Any other task assigned by the line manager.

B.   Financing Administrator Responsibilities:

 


  1. Data Entry and Loan Processing:

a)    Check client files and reconcile them with a checklist.

b)    Upload documents and invoices into the system (ABACUS) accordingly.

c)    Enter new loan applications into the system and update existing records as needed.

d)    Review all required documents and prepare customer files for the loan committee.


  1. Documentation Management:

a)    Ensure the correctness and completeness of documents, recording them into the database, and keeping them in the file room.

b)    Safeguard and manage title deeds and loan contracts, maintaining them in chronological order.


  1. Customer Service:

1)    Process customer requests related to printing and sharing information.

2)    Handle initial loan application approvals in the system and send special requests to HQ for approval.

Job Requirement

 Afghan citizen;

b)   Minimum Bachelor degree from (any country);

c)   Experience handling cash (business or household), experience with a Microfinance Institution preferable;

d)  Fluent in Dari and English welcome but not essential

e)   Computer skills in Ms. Officer ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint....)

f)    Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;

g) Able to work independently and in a group,

h) willing to take initiative, and energetic;

I) Able to learn quickly.
