About Union Aid: Union Aid (UA) was established by a group of Afghan philanthropists and social activists in July 1979 in Peshawar, Pakistan. Union Aid was serving Afghan Refugees and host communities living in/around refugee camps through various projects in three main sectors; health, education and skill development. UA has been providing basic health services through hospitals, Basic Health Units (BHUs), labor rooms, provision of prosthetic limbs and first aid trainings. UA facilitated Afghan Refugees in education sector through providing formal basic and higher education, skill development programs for men and women, literacy centers and scholarships. Union Aid is actively providing regular support in humanitarian & development sectors such as, Healthcare, Nutrition, Education, Scholarships, Technical Vocational Education Trainings, Family Support Programs, Emergency Response and Support, Livelihoods, Food Security, Shelter, Construction/Rehabilitation of community level infrastructures, Environmental Protection, and WASH.
Job Description
- Align all activities of HR in accordance to applicable HR policies of Union Aid,
- Recruit, interview, hire, and orient the newly employed staff.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations within the probationary period and at the end of the year.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Union Aid policy,
- Ensure the organizations human resource policies to be practiced on recruiting, retention, and planning.
- Provides support and guidance of HR to the management and other staff, providing investigating report as a proof in case of terminations.
- Manages the recruitment, interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants in collaboration with management.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with government policies & employment laws and regulations to ensure Union Aid practices aligned with Government policies
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures,
- Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale.
- Maintain staff personnel files according to personnel file checklist, leave plan and record of the employee leave should be in proper and accessible.
- Preparation of monthly attendance report and share with main office for review and approval.
- Preparation of monthly payroll and share with main office through finance for review and approval,
- Maintaining soft leave record updated and leave requests in update file.
- Maintaining travel and mission report in update file.
- To perform any other tasks assigned by line manager.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a relevant field,
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages,
- Ability to establish and nurture beneficial organizational relationships,
- Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems,
- Capability to negotiate with and influence others,
- Analytically and mathematically minded to analyze data and create necessary reports.
