Job Description
The Business Development officer will conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, using data analysis to develop growth strategies. They will ensure the editorial independence of TOLOnews while simultaneously driving strategic business development initiatives to enhance profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Analyze data to develop strategies for business growth.
• Ensure editorial independency of TOLOnews while simultaneously driving strategic business development initiatives to enhance profitability in Business growth.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing business and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with TOLOnews Leadership to create and execute business development plans. Set and achieve realistic sales and revenue targets in alignment with company objectives.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build a strong professional network. Leverage these connections to generate new business leads.
• Prepare and present business proposals, presentations, and reports to prospective clients. Customize solutions to meet client needs and effectively communicate our value proposition.
• Developing and pitching ideas for potential investors.
• Track and report on key performance metrics. Analyze the effectiveness of business development activities and make data-driven adjustments to strategies as needed.
• Develop and manage budgets for business development activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and maximizing ROI.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field required. Master’s degree will be preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in Marketing, Sales, Project Management, Administration.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to project a sense of trustworthiness.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
