About Company
About GIZ-Afghanistan TVET Project: The program “Support to Technical and Vocational Education and Training” (TVET program) aims at developing a target-group differentiated and labor-market oriented vocational education and training system in Afghanistan. It supports the Afghan TVET Authority to improve the core elements constituting a formal TVET system. The program consists of seven intervention areas: Intervention area 1: Improving the effective operation of selected pilot schools; Intervention area 2: Improving vocational education for company apprentices; Intervention area 3: Facilitating cooperation between the private and public vocational training sectors; Intervention area 4: Developing curricula geared to labour-market needs; Intervention area 5: Capacity development for vocational training specialists; Intervention area 6: Rehabilitation of selected pilot schools; Intervention area 7: Piloting with new target groups. This Terms of Reference are related to intervention area no. 1 of the program. Initial Situation: Soft skill (time management, conflict management and …. etc.) are trainings which improve social, interpersonal, and personal communication associate with work behavior and promotes academic professionalism. These trainings will enable individuals and groups to communicate and behave professionally with other members in the society and within the academic life with peers. GIZ-TVET works closely with an expert to conduct soft skills training such as communication, time management and conflict management by referring existing products to address different program target groups. One of the primaries aims of these training is to be offered to the number of the target groups such as PEDTVET, Head master, Master Trainers, Teachers and TVETA personnel. The assignment has 3 main primary activities: 1. Training of trainers (ToT), 2. Development of facilitation plan 3. Conduct soft skills trainings to pre-selected target groups.
Job Description
The contractor partner will offer soft skills training and ToT on bellow topics:
Work Package 5.1 (Soft Skill training):
- Developing facilitation plan of conducting behavioral skills on workplace and soft skill workshop for different TVET target group
- Developing online contingency facilitation plan in case Covid-19 crisis to be continued
- Conduct workshop for the pre-selected target group (senior master trainers, GIZ-TVET staff)
- Identification, selects and train potential candidates among the senior master trainers as future multiplier of Soft Skills with attention to gender relevance
- Organizing task force for training of trainers (TOT), at least two sessions incorporate this activity with dummy lessons
- Revision of soft skill package after first round of workshop in case deemed necessary.
