Job Description
This position consists of surveying, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, replacing and installing car and other vehicles’ systems and parts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
- Carry out scheduled routine maintenance i.e. changing oil filters, and services as well as daily refueling of the generators.
- Work with manager and other mechanics to diagnose and repair the mechanical and electrical components of vehicles.
- Listening to clients to learn more about vehicle history, potential problems, and the services they would like to receive.
- Performing test drivers, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify where problems exists and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced.
- Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as performing oil changes, flushing and replacing fluids, and replacing brakes.
- Repairing damage to the body of the vehicle and washing and painting the vehicle’s exterior.
- Generating timelines and estimates for repairs and discussing options with clients.
- Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with state regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records relating to clients, their vehicles, parts, and service history.
- Using shop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Engaging in learning opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills.
- Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/mechanic engineering or other related fields.
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Vocational Training
- 5 Years experience in working on Hydraulic System based machines such as excavator, loader, man-lift crane, flat-bed trucks and etc.
- Qualified safety training on how to address specific electrical hazards, including the correct personal protective equipment.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
