Job Description
Network Engineer job is maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations. Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required. Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures. Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems. Replacing faulty network hardware components when required. Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance at any time.
- Confer with end users about solving system problems and troubleshoot for error either in hardware or software.
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
- Configure network nodes (switches, firewalls, servers, computers, APs, routers, etc)
- Coordinate computer network access and use.
- Design, configure and test networking software, hardware, and operating system software.
- Responsible for network administration (linux network administration).
- Responsible for Office network infrastructure and management.
- Responsible for clients’ network infrastructure and management.
- Responsible for handling day to day operations.
- Responsible for office network maintenance and backup.
- Responsible for deployment of office network hardware in any location.
- Responsible for maintaining high level security measurements for network.
- Contribute to Team success.
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor in computer science, information technology, or similar disciplines.
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience is a must.
- Linux system knowledge is must
- Demonstrate Courage & Integrity.
- Good communication skill for Dari, Pashto and English (written and verbal).
- Self-motivated.
- Capable of prioritizing and managing own workload.
- Communicate with impact & empathy.
- Be open minded, practice oriented & adaptive to change.
