Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Extenders, who will play a crucial position in supporting the implementation and monitoring of program activities in remote and insecure communities. Extenders will be engaged through a third-party Service Provider responsible for administrative and security aspects, while our partner provides financial support, technical guidance, and supervision. Experience with the United Nations is desirable 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and supporting targeted public schools, Community-based Education (ECE), Accelerated Learning Program (ALP), and Early Child Development (ECD) classes at provincial, District, and community levels.
  • Ensuring functionality and attendance of partner-supported CBE, ALP, and ECD classes.
  • Monitoring implementation of partner Work Plan activities and reporting on children’s access to education and quality learning.
  • Overseeing the transition of CBE/ALP/ECD classes to hub schools and monitoring textbooks and teaching-learning Materials (TLM) supply delivery.
  • Conduction regular visits to textbook warehouses and monitoring teachers' and students’ attendance.
  • Performing area assessments to establish CBE and ALP classes in area lacking access to public schools.
  • Assuring the establishment and functioning of school Management Shuras (SMS).
  • Conducting skill needs assessments and organizing capacity development training for academic supervision staff and school personnel.
  • Monitoring partner-funded school construction projects and undertaking other duties as assigned
  • Perform any other activities as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Job Requirement

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years of working experience in education program implementation, preferably in remote or insecure communities or a similar position preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in both national languages and English language is an advantage
  • Mobilization of communities to support access to and retention in education.
  • Tegular and timely field visits, monitoring, and reporting on education activities.
  • Coordination of knowledge-sharing and capacity-building events.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, at the community level.
  • Familiarity with office Applications preferred.
  • Personal qualities including teamwork, flexibility, network-building, ability to handle pressure, and cross-cultural competence.
  • Self-motivated, Quick learner with a positive attitude.
  • Cooperative and team-working skills
  • Being flexible regarding working hours.
  • Disciplined, honest, professional, and hard worker.
