COAR actively bridging between donors of humanitarian aid and rural Afghan communities severely affected by almost four decades of wars, internal conflicts, natural and manmade disasters, and complexities. Job Description

  • To roll out and manage MEAL mechanism as per commitments of the Organization
  • To establish, manage and strengthen Accountability to Beneficiaries at field level under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • To carry out regular field monitoring of program interventions and produce monitoring reports on the given format, conduct debrief sessions with relevant project staff and develop an agreed action plan
  • To carry out follow-up monitoring visits to materialize actions agreed in the action plan
  • To establish and manage Complaint and Feedback Mechanism which facilitate beneficiaries/communities to register complaints and share feedbacks to Project Manager
  • To assist the project in carrying out preliminary first inquiry report in case of serious nature of complaints filed by beneficiaries/communities
  • To assist the project in identifying key compliance/quality questions and parameters capitalizing on the existing checklists and minimum standards for monitoring project performance
  • To assist in reviewing databases and data tracking tools of diverse projects in order to maintain data quality for collating reliable and consistent data which meets minimum reporting requirements of donors and COAR
  • To assist in planning and implementation of baseline surveys, monitoring and evaluation exercises, and impact assessments when needed
  • Carries out the capacity-building consultations to relevant stakeholders at school/LEC/community levels, and coordinates the mainstreaming of MEAL systems and activities relevant to project activities as per the action plans.
  • In consultation with other project officers, supports each target school/LCBEs/ALC/community to strengthen their own MEAL systems and practice to ensure their implementation for the main project components
  • Ensures that relevant data are collected with due care, entered into the system, and analyzed thoroughly in an organized and audience-friendly manner to be utilized for the project planning, reporting, and learning.
  • Monthly reporting of data in order to follow up the standard project and strategic indicators (Number of beneficiaries, number and type of activities completed)
  • Ensure data entry for 4-Ws matrix and Output Tracker/Management Information System and then submitting on timely.
  • Data consolidation and clarification in the Excel/Access based area level on monthly basis to strict deadline.
  • Completing project data reports monthly to the line manager.
  • Coaching/training and building capacity of area office teams to collect and manage their relevant data regularly.
  • Contribute to the development of the database for project and contextual data by being part of system design while working with the line manager.
  • Develop and update GAP analysis in program needed

Job Requirement

  • At least 3 years experience in related field
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • Excellent personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Significant people management skills/experience and proven ability to create an environment that encourages team-working and motivates a team across various geographical areas.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization developing effective working relationships to deliver outstanding results for children.
  • Commitment to and understanding of Coordination of Afghan Relief’s aims, values, and principles
  • Understanding of Local context and Local Language are appreciated.
