Job Summary Internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization’s operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.”

Job Description

Objectively review the organization’s business processes
Evaluate the efficacy of risk management procedures that are currently in place
Protect against fraud and theft of the organization’s assets
Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes
Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes

Ensure financial internal controls, and ensure that transactions are processed and assets managed in accordance with financial rules and regulations.
Examines documentation, including reports, statements, records, and memos to gather information
Reconciles documentation with actual inventory or assets to ascertain accuracy
Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to Management and/or Risk Committees.
Prepares reports quarterly basis for each SKY GROUP offices and preserves documentation pertaining to audits for internal record.
Presents summarized findings concerning audit results and trends for internal groups
Analyses audit results to determine methods for increasing profits and decreasing unnecessary costs
Makes recommendations for the best ways for a company to avoid fraud and reduce waste
Keeps up-to-date on audit procedures and regulations by attending conferences, workshops, and continuing education seminars
May work extra hours during busy audit seasons or to meet certain milestones
Works with a team to achieve company goals
Overall supervision of planned annual audits.
Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice
Perform any other duties which my assigned by the direct line supervisor and/or management

Key Area of Activities

Perform audits of branches;
Write audit reports, communicate them to relevant employees and follow-up the remediation

Job Requirement

Degree in Internal Auditing (CIA), Financial Accounting or Financial Management (essential)/ ACCA.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Exceptional accounting skills.
Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.
Be able to properly communicate in local languages and English
Good knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office packages
