About NSIA(Gov): National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) was established in the year 1351 as an independent governmental entity to create an integrated national statistical system ensuring harmonization and coordination of all statistical and information management activities of the country. In 1397 and 1398, new mandates were assigned to NSIA including geospatial information management, information systems management, and identity management. NSIA strives to enhance management and coordination amongst the government entities in establishing a well-integrated data management ecosystem.
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Multimedia Developer is responsible for the design and development of creative multimedia applications and solutions. The incumbent shall ensure adherence to the existing branding guidelines and development of new creative artwork and multimedia applications for required activities and projects
KEY TASKS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The recruited incumbent will support the work of the National Statistics and Information Authority and will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Deliver creative graphic and technical solutions for use of media in software systems and solutions;
- Work in close coordination with the client to prepare design concepts for multimedia digital products;
- Plan and implement multimedia projects and prepare code to produce the multimedia product;
- Prepare digital graphics, animations, sound, video, photographs and images for editing;
- Design, create and test complete and fully working prototypes;
- Support organizing and conducting capacity building programs for relevant technical units of NSIA;
- Support and promote the use of innovative technology solutions in the government sector;
- Any other tasks assigned by the line manager and/or team lead.
Job Requirement
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A Master's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field of study;
- Bachelor degree with five years of relevant experience or master degree with three years of working experience;
- Strong experience in producing creative artwork and developing multimedia products;
- A broad understanding of current technology developments, solutions, and tools;
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
- Strong commitment to working with the public sector;
- Ability to exhibit strong qualification and professional experience in the relevant disciplines;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and national languages i.e. Dari and Pashto;
- Ability to work with and be a partner of a team of diverse backgrounds;
- Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and work overtime when required;
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment inspiring trust and cooperation of other team members;
- Strong communication, negotiating skills, and good interpersonal relations.
