Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Humanitarian Project Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of humanitarian projects in coordinator with project manager. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of humanitarian principles and practices. The Project Coordinator will work closely with Local Authorities, Community elders, Project Manager, field staff and beneficiaries to ensure the effective delivery of assistance.
- Liaise with local authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate project implementation.
- Coordinate with local government authorities on projects registration and completion Reports/Confirmation.
- Represent the organization at coordination meetings and other forums.
- Coordinate the execution of project activities according to the plan and ensuring objectives are met.
- Supervise and support field staff and providing clear guidance and direction.
- Establish monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to assess project performance and impact.
- Collect and analyze data, preparing regular reports on project progress and outcomes.
- Oversee the management of project resources, including financial, material, and human resources.
- Ensure all resources are used efficiently and in compliance with organizational policies.
- Identify potential risks and challenges to project implementation and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all project activities comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate periodic (Daily, weekly) and monthly narrative reports to Project Manager.
- Ensure accountability mechanisms are in place to address beneficiary concerns and complaints.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness of project activities and achievements.
- Any other tasks given by project manager.
Job Requirement
Skills/Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Humanitarian Studies, Social Sciences, Project management or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in coordinating humanitarian projects preferably in WFP Projects.
Computer Literacy: Excellent working knowledge of MS Office tools.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various field conditions and in hard to reach areas.
Language: Excellent Knowledge of local languages and working knowledge of English.
Strong Communication and problem solving abilities.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
