Job Description
Position Summary:
The Admin and Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the organization, including office management, procurement, and logistics.
- Manage the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and analyses to support decision-making by the management team and the board of directors.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- File and process annual tax clearance with the Ministry of Finance.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the management team, including identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as per the agreed format to the Executive Director, audit, and donors.
- Facilitate smooth annual audits and prepare the final annual accounts.
- Supervise and mentor administrative and finance staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior administrative and finance role within the NGO sector.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of supervising and developing a high-performing team.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office suite.
