About Zamir Foundation: Zamir Foundation is a non-governmental and non-profit organization. The Zamir Foundation's Business Recovery Initiative Project aims to provide working capital funding to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Afghanistan to support their purchasing of raw materials, processing and production, and increase their production and export capabilities. The project aims to create employment and stimulate economic growth in Afghanistan. Moreover, BRI is also one of the funds that provides SMEs with the liquidity support they need to continue operations and restart the local economy. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
The Regional Business Development Specialist - Female will work directly under the direction supervision of Business Recovery Initiative Business Development Manager/ Women-Lead SMEs Regional Business Development Coordinator. The job description below outlines the primary responsibilities and is not intended to be all encompassing. Other duties may be assigned as needed:
- Participate in the preparation of Business Development and Management training materials for women led businesses
- Training the BRI recipients (women led businesses) on Business Management, Marketing and Improving Business Practices
- Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of women led business development activities in the region, including the tracking of progress and the identification of any issues or challenges
- Prepare and submit regular reports on the progress of the project in the region
- Facilitate the development of business plans and financial projections for potential beneficiaries
- Any other task assigned by line supervisor or senior management
Job Requirement
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, preferably in an international development or humanitarian setting
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess business opportunities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience working in Afghanistan or a similar context is preferred
