About Islamic Relief worldwide Afghanistan: Islamic Relief Worldwide – Afghanistan Country Office (IRA) is an international non profitable Non-governmental humanitarian relief organization with its head quarter in UK-Birmingham. It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and social Council of the United Nations and is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. IRA started its humanitarian activities for Afghan Refugees in Pakistan and Afghan people inside Afghanistan in 1992. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in different fields: Emergency Relief, Agriculture, Health, Education, Engineering and construction, irrigation and social welfare.
Job Description
Summary of position:
- To provide quality primary education for newly enrolled female children in Balkh (City, Dehdadi and Nahr-e-Shahi and Center of Mazar).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adapt effective teaching methodology and materials to meet students varying needs, abilities and interests.
- Prepare lesson plan, session plan to the target group and make the arrangements accordingly.
- Deliver teaching session in accordance with approved curriculum of Ministry of Education for formal schools.
- Maintain all administrative documents of class including curriculum progress book, students attendance and etc.
- Check and observe student’s learning achievements, homework and give feedback for improvement.
- Plan and conduct activities for balanced program for instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe ask and questions.
- Instruct students individually and group.
- Assist the local school administration in implementation of rules and regulations.
- Prepare and update training materials and methodologies to have more focused on learning by doing.
- Establish clear objective for all lessons, units and projects and communicate those objectives with students.
- Assign and grade class work and homework.
- Prepare and administer written, oral, and performance tests and issue grade in accordance with performance.
- Prepare report on students and activities as per required by administration.
- Take care of books, materials and supplies for courses or project.
- Attend staff meeting and serve committee as required.
- Perform any other tasks as required.
Job Requirement
Qualification:
- Education: At least 14th grade graduate and priority to bachelor degree holder.
- Work Experience: Teaching experience in formal schools at primary level.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skill
- Ability to act in own initiative
