Job Description

About The Role

As the New Business Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of Aseel's business. Your role involves building key partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, proposal development, and overseeing the B2B and B2G partnerships that contribute to Aseel's overall success.

 

The role focuses on Leading, overseeing and providing hands-on support to the three business strategic aspects of Aseel including 1) Accounts Management for B2B sales 2) Grants and Contracts and 3) Ventures that Aseel takes part in/gets investment from.

              

The ideal team member is a passionate about the vision of Aseel providing humanitarian support and economic growth using technology, has a proven track record of achieving business development goals in the past, is an excellent writer and can lead a team of highly effective specialists.

What You'll Achieve
 

  • Lead the Aseel New Business Team to succeed at the growth required as per the Aseel five years plan.
  • Responsible for the key metrics and monthly sprint target achievements. 
  • In charge of proposal development, finalization, and submission to relevant partners.
  • In charge of driving the B2B revenue growth in Aseel.
  • Representing Aseel in all mutually beneficial institutions with Aseel in all relevant meetings and events.
  • Outreach to international organizations, non-profits, corporations and multilateral organizations for contracts, accounts and overall leads.
  • Collaborate with sub-teams, including Account Management, Grants and contracts, and partnerships, to ensure seamless execution of business strategies and coordinate with leadership as needed.
  • You will create partnerships with the United Nations (UN) agencies, Government international development agencies of the US, EU, UK, and so on, Multilateral development banks, large international charities, foundations and so on.
  • Coach the leads of sub-teams and support their success.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the CEO on business development progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Job Requirement

Skills You'll Need to Bring

  • Key Skills include: Business Development, Account Management, Customer Success, Strategic Partnerships, Channel Marketing, Channel Programs, Segmentation, Sales Support, Sales Operations, Customer Relationship Development, Negotiations, Pricing Strategy and most importantly automation.
  • At least 10 years of experience working with reputable brands/organizations and at least one instance of leadership in which the candidate demonstrated considerable B2B growth
  • Proven experience in business development, with a track record of successfully driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
  • GTM strategy and business model development.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced business environment.

     

    Nice To Haves

  • Scaled a tech startup from Seed to Series C and beyond.
  • Familiarity with Afghanistan, Turkey, and beyond's diverse cultural and business landscape.
  • Experience developing software systems and ability to engage with product and system development teams
  • Prior experience with scaling B2B sales of an organization to over $50m a year
