Job Description
AZI is in search of a qualified IT Assistant to install, configure, and maintain computer network systems for a company. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that their company's computer network is functioning properly and up-to-date. This position entails delivering primary IT assistance, overseeing IT hardware, and ensuring the efficient operation of our IT infrastructure including the overall IT network. A problem-solver with exceptional communication abilities and a passion for technology will be the optimal candidate.
- Provide technical assistance to staff on hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Set up accounts and user profiles
- Provide system administration and maintenance
- Respond to and diagnose technical hardware and software issues
- Research and recommend new technologies
- Create and maintain documentation of technical processes
- Follow up with users to ensure their technical issues have been resolved
- Other Duties: Perform any other identical tasks as assigned by supervisors, tailored to the organization's needs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of system changes, prepare Change Request Forms, and ensure proper closure of reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with AZI Management and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to IT support.
- Equipment Management: Ensure the availability and functionality of IT equipment and network. Troubleshoot and replace failed components as required. Example tasks include diagnosing hardware issues and performing routine maintenance.
Job Requirement
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
A university degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- A university degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Dari/Pashto.
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT-related issues with effective solutions.
- Proficiency in IT troubleshooting, computer/server configurations, and networking. Familiarity with all required programs.
- Excellent problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- Ability to work under pressure
- Planning and scheduling skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (Fluent in Pashto and/or Dari with strong spoken and written English skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with a culturally diverse staff, clients and consultants.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
- Demonstrated intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications
