Job Description

Introduction:

AHDAA is a non-government, humanitarian and non-profit organization that supports sustainable development in Afghan community through promoting the ability of local communities to decide upon and manage their own development process.

AHDAA organization established on year 1996 in Herat, covering western and central zones of Afghanistan.

Specific Duties: Reintegration officer’s Vacancy Announcement

Overview:

The incumbent works with the Project Manager. She provides reports and technical support for assisting AHDAA’s project beneficiaries (returnees, IDPs and host communities) towards sustainable reintegration. The job requires direct contact with the target population and other sectorial departments in provincial level.

Key Contacts (internal): Project Manager, Program Manager.

Principal Responsibilities:

Participate in joint needs assessments planning (with strong focus on priorities) and designing implementation monitoring and reporting of the reintegration activities in PARRs. 
Advise on activities to improve socio-economic self-reliance and sustainable solutions of persons of concern in the PARRs.
Coordinate (re)integration projects with community including sectorial department and donor of project
Specifically, be the focal point for (re)integration activities such as livelihoods, shelter and construction activities.
Collect information and report with respect to achievements challenges and lessons learned. 
Coordinating and communicating with other team members as member of team
Ensure that the implemented activities are technically sound, cost effective and relevant to the target beneficiaries needs.
Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual project work plans and budgets and assist the Project Manager in programming activities
Facilitate visits of any internal or external stakeholders to monitor the project implementation in close coordination with the project team.
Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirement

Skill Requirements:

1. Experience and Knowledge

• 2-3 Years of relevant work experience in INGOs/NGOs.

•  At least Bachelor degree, Master Degree is preferred  

2. Skills

• Very good communication, networking, and inter-personal skills;

• Precision and critical thinking;

• Proven excellence in writing and editing skills in English;

• Excellent research and analytical skills;

• Decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills;

• Good knowledge of computer tools.

3. Personal Qualities

• Ability to handle pressure;

• Driven and motivated by human rights issues;

• Demonstrated gender sensitivity and awareness.
