Job Description

The incumbent shall be performing his duties under the immediate supervision of the Ramp Supervisor. His immediate supervisor is also responsible for the attendance, duty shift planning and leave issues and records. The Business Support Assistant will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

Perform the passengers checking at deep stations where UNHAS does not have footprint as per UNHAS SAOP and regulations.

• Perform security screening/checking for passengers and their baggage.

• Update the passengers checks after flights in the Takeflite application.

• Coordinate with AOCC, Check-in, and Air Operator Crew to ensure all procedures and paperwork is completed for flights in deep field locations.

• Ensure that all equipment required for Flight Monitor duties is maintained and is in working order.

• Communicate to the relevant UNHAS departments any deficiencies observed in the deep field locations.

• Report any safety and security concerns at all UNHAS destinations, airports, airstrips, and landing zones

• Conduct screening of baggage, cargo, and passengers for UNHAS flights in deep field locations.

• Conduct check-in procedures for UNHAS passengers in deep field locations.

• Any medical mitigation measures in place.

• Any other task assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirement

Education: A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.

Experience: Three or more years of progressively responsible work experience with experience in general administrative work.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in Dari/Pashto & English languages.

Nationality: Afghan 

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word.

• Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.

• Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.

• Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention.

• Ability to offer guidance or basic on-the-job training to more junior staff.
