Job Description
The Position (General Position Summary)
The Babysitter will ensure that all children (including toddlers) are in a safe and sound environment where their health and wellbeing is considered of the utmost importance. She will take care of the children including their feeding, entertainment and learning. These will ensure that the mothers will work with a peace of mind and increase their productivity.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is to run the childcare service for Mercy Corps staff in the Herat Office. The postholder is responsible for up to a maximum of ten children, during Mercy Corps office hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the safety and well-being of all children.
- Adhere to all schedules laid out by Parents, Guardians or Educators
- Provide meals at scheduled times.
- Engage children in healthy educational and developmental activities.
- Conduct herself as a person of authority and worth.
- Keep a safe and clean care environment.
- Be punctual and on occasion stay late to help with unforeseen issues.
- Maintain Mercy Corps stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements and community culture.
- Any other task requested by the supervisor.
