Job Description
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Gardner/Cook will be responsible for maintaining the green area of the office and cooking lunch for the MC team members in Herat. He will also assist in cleaning the yards and mowing the lawns.
Job Requirement
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Irrigating the plants (trees, flowers, vases, and lawn) three times a week. Mowing the lawn on a weekly basis.
- Cleaning the irrigation canals.
- Pruning the plants.
- Cleaning the outside toilets.
- Sweeping/dusting the front yard and backyard areas at least every other day.
- Checking the water purification unit regularly to ensure that all water pumps are functional, the water tank is full, and the filters are clean.
- Taking care of the pool cleaning.
- Doing some minor repairs and maintenance in the office (i.e. repairing door locks, handles, water taps, replacing broken windows and lamps).
- Doing work related to Manual labor when needed.
- Provide cooking services to MC Herat office.
- Serving the food and collecting the food cost from team members.
- Washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen.
- Maintain Mercy Corp's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements and community culture.
- Any other task requested by the supervisor.
