Job Description
YHDO is looking for a driver who will be responsible to perform the below-mentioned responsibilities:
Main Responsibilities:
- Check vehicle daily to ensure that it is operational and safe to drive, including oil, radiator, fan belt, brake fluid, wipers, tires, lights and signals
- Ensuring the vehicle is used for organization official purposes only
- Maintaining logbook on a daily basis (name, date, destination carried to, purpose of the journey and kilometer)
- Keep the vehicle clean
- Inform his line manager and YHDO administration of all works and damages to vehicles and ensure maintenance when needed
- Driving the organization vehicle with proper care and courtesy, observing all local traffic rules and regulations
- Ensuring the vehicle is kept refueled on a regular basis
- Ensuring that the necessary tools are always present in the vehicle and properly maintained
- Not to let any unauthorized people inside the vehicle or drive the car
Job Requirement
- Primary Education completed
- At least 1-year working experience in the same position, ideally with NGO and in Balkh
- Must have a general knowledge of Afghanistan’s traffic rules and regulations
- Must possess a valid driving license
- Oral and writing skills in Pashto and Dari languages
- Good behavior and communication skills
