About Handicap International: HI has been supporting the Afghan people since 1987, starting its operations in Pakistan. Since 1996, HI has been operating across Afghanistan in order to launch victim assistance interventions, working at different levels of the society and adopting a cross-sectoral approach. While present on the ground to directly support victims of the conflict through the provision of a range of services – from physical rehabilitation, to mine risk education and inclusive livelihoods – HI has been continuously advocating to increase the rights of victims and other people with disabilities in the country. Job Description
Mission
The Cleaner works within the overall structure of Handicap International (HI), the cleaner is bound by the Terms and conditions of engagement for national staff and by the Internal Regulation.
Cleaner is responsible for the cleaning of the office and working area of staff. He/she works under the supervision of the Supply Chain and Logistic Officer.
Job Requirement
- Responsibilities as a Cleaner.
- Clean all the assigned locations departments, specified for HI inside the Conex and Nimroz Hospital compound.
- Assist office in moves of furniture /equipment when required
- Wash and repair the curtains, blankets, pillow covers and bed sheets when required
- Keep clean windows, doors, glasses and walls
- Clean the bathrooms every day or whenever required and ensure that toilet paper and soap is
- available in the toilets
- Assist drivers in loading and unloading of vehicles when required
- Respect the duty schedule assigned by the line manager
Report the abnormal cases happening in the workshop to the line manager
- To give the correct information or direction to the clients towards related section if required
- Inform the line manger about things that need to be repaired or maintained
- Prevent any person (relative of patient) from outside, entering the sections
- Any other tasks not mentioned in the terms of reference and based on the requisition of the employee when requested by the ITF Project Manager.
