Job Description
Job Purpose
The incumbent of this position is responsible for taken care of female UAMs while staying at GTC until their reunification. She should build a friendly relation and trust atmosphere that child feel safe and calm. She should ensure UAMs receiving all necessary services including refreshment, meal, hygiene kits and clothing. The responsible person need to report any concern and or problem regarding the child immediately to the line manager.
The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- To take care of Female UAMs while staying in GTC.
- To build a friendly relation and trust atmosphere between UAMs and colleagues
- To ensure UAMs receive all necessary services including refreshment, meal, hygiene and clothing.
- Coordinate with SW Supervisor and assist in family tracing, re-integration and post integration monitoring
- To ensure that the transition of the children from transit camp to handing over to their respective families runs smoothly with proper documentation and high buy-in of receiving families.
- Identify unaccompanied minors who were re-integrated into their families
- To coordinate closely with the War Child UK Monitoring and Evaluation Department on M and E requirements of the project.
- Conducting debriefing and counseling session with minor and their families
- To coordinate closely with the War Child UK Monitoring and Evaluation Department on M and E requirements of the project
- Maintains and adherence to all War Child policies and procedures, including Child Protection policy.
- Keeping Closed coordination and communication between War child, DoRR, CHA and IOM in the Camp.
- Keeping updated the Supervisor and Project Manager on the progress of project activities.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly Reports to the Supervisor/Project Manager.
- Prepare proper documentation as per WCUK policies and procedures when delivering children to their families and for travel expenditures.
- Any other tasks required by Supervisor/Project Manager.
- Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to War Child’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

Person Specification
War Child in Afghanistan operates in a dynamic environment with a team of highly motivated and dedicated staff. The right candidate will share these qualities and bring effective leadership to a diverse team. The successful candidate will be creative problem solver and foster a solution-based approach to management.
Experience and mandatory criteria:
- Minimum High School Diploma (Bachelor Degree in the field of social science is preferred)
- Minimum 2 years work experience in Child Protection with I/NGOs
- Experiences with working inside Child Friendly Space
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening skills
- Ability to allocate and review priorities to meet the deadlines
- Ability to identify problems ad resolutions
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to team’s success
- Commitment and to understand of War Child UK values.
- Having Positive and encouraging personality
- Able to work with smart phone devices (Computer skills in Microsoft Office is preferred)
- Ability in speaking two national language Dari and Pashtu (Basic English Language Skills is preferred)
