Job Description
Senior Data Officer Responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle data analysis. Data Officer will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. He/she will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
- On regular basis, collect data of program activities, review and check to ensure that all information is correct and adequate.
- Compile all data and information into agreed system and files so that they are readily available and accessible for reports.
- Maintain database of program activities and beneficiaries.
- Ability to obtain data from the reports and field activities, and transfer into database format and vice versa.
- Assist M&E Manager in establishing internal monitoring, data management; and in developing new system and/or strengthening the existing systems which are appropriate and applicable in the field
- Serve as focal point for field staff for sending and receiving data and information from the field, and from Kabul office to field offices.
- Support the Data Officers in the field to collect data and develop a system in line with that of the Kabul office
- Assist with development of M&E training modules and materials, especially related to data collection and data management
- Assist M&E and senior management in coordinating monitoring and data management, and reporting activities.
- Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Provide data and reports as scheduled and when it is required.
- Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases
- Attend and participate in trainings or meeting identified/organized by the M&E Sector and Senior Management.
- Actively seek opportunities to build personal capacity to fulfill professional requirements.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Job Requirement
Bachelor's degree with 3 years’ experience in the related field. Bachelor in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration;
Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy & confidentiality in performing responsibilities;
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques;
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases;
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Access, knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing data sets (SPSS, etc.);
Ability to work independently and ability to work with a diverse team.
