Job Description
(Overall purpose of the job):
The M&E officer is fully responsible to manage the project routine monitoring data with closed coordination of national, regional and provincial M&E staff. The M&E officer will further ensure the quality of the collected data in regular basis and will provide comprehensive feedback for data quality and verifications. The M&E officer will also undertake regular field visits in all AKAH targeted areas of new UNHCR-SOM targeted provinces.
(MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS):
- Responsible to fully manage and maintain proper data management system in with closed coordination of senior MERLI officer both at national and regional level
- Make sure to properly use the M&E tools and equipment for the project monitoring
- Undertake regular progress and field monitoring visits to all targeted provinces
- Responsible to provide M&E technical support to regional staff in terms of data entry and overall management with support from national MERLI staff
- Make sure to submit the collected data in regular basis to national data management specialist
- Able to undertake data analysis, visualization of the collected data
- Make sure to provide regular feedback for the project implementation staff, regional MERLI staff and national program teams regarding the project progress and overall implementation
- Responsible to prepare the monitoring report and share with all concern staff both at the national and regional level
- Make sure to have regular field visits for further data verification and data quality assurance
(MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES):
Any other tasks being assigned by line supervisor.
Job Requirement
(SPECIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):
Education: Bachelor’s in business, economics, computer science, education and Journalism
Experience: At least 3 year of M&E/data management work experience with national or international organizations
Skills: Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in the local language and in English.
- Flexible, positive attitude committed, and the ability to deliver with tight deadlines.
- A team player with skills in providing effective feedback to colleagues and management.
- Ability to travel inside the country as and when required.
Technical Skills:
- Monitoring and evaluation techniques and processes
- Data collection and management
- Good communication skills
- Good level of proficiency in Excel and quantitative analysis
Other Skills:
- Time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Self-motivated person able to work without close supervision
- Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
- Travelling to far flung areas independently for M&E
