Job Description
- To represent the Faculty of Economics to the higher authorities such as: VC, Chancellor, Academic Committees, and any external authorities as required;
- To conduct and lead the academic committees of the Faculty of Economics every (15) day, and report the minutes of the meetings to the Academic VC;
- To ensure that all ministry rules and internal policies are implemented effectively;
- To arrange, run and manage all academic affairs of the Economics Faculty as effectively as required by Rana’s Academic Committees or the Academic Vice-Chancellor;
- To assign, cooperate, lead, and control the sub-committees of the Quality Assurance tasks and report to Academic VC and fully cooperate with the Head of the Quality Assurance Committee;
- To oversee the needs, suggest and revise the curriculum on a timely basis;
- To prepare and submit weekly status reports of the directorate to the Academic Vice-Chancellor;
- To attend, report, and suggest effective ideas at the board of directors meetings;
- To arrange, review, and recommend faculty members to maintain and improve the quality of education;
- To arrange and conduct Lecturer’s Performance Appraisal at least once in a semester and report to Academic Vice-Chancellor accordingly.
- To participate, and cooperate with the Exam Committee to ensure a quality exam conduction both in midterm exams, and final sessions.
- To fully cooperate with Rana’s Research Center;
- To do any other task as assigned by the higher authorities according to the Ministry of Higher Education instructions;
- To instruct the academic cadre and the students in the light of Ministry of Higher Education rules;
- To follow and respect all codes, discipline, and policies of Rana University for the sake of maintaining an appropriate and well academic Environment;
- To actively participate in writing and publishing books, and reference materials and to lead and continue in the field of research;
- To respect and follow all rules and regulations of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan, Ministry of Higher Education, and Rana University;
Job Requirement
- Education: At least a Master's/ Ph.D. degree with a specialization in any of the following majors from a recognized university/institute;
- Management
- Finance
2. Attested, original qualification documents including Master/Ph.D. degree are required
3. Experience: 3 - 5 years experience in Lectureship, and as Dean of Faculty;
4. Language Skills: Fluent oral, written, and comprehensive skills in English, Dari & Pashto;
5. Personal qualification: Must be a hard worker and honest having strong teaching skills & knowledge.
