About NSIA(Gov): National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) was established in the year 1351 as an independent governmental entity to create an integrated national statistical system ensuring harmonization and coordination of all statistical and information management activities of the country. In 1397 and 1398, new mandates were assigned to NSIA including geospatial information management, information systems management, and identity management. NSIA strives to enhance management and coordination amongst the government entities in establishing a well-integrated data management ecosystem.
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Entrust Data Card Systems Expert will work in close collaboration with the Entrust Data Card Systems Senior Expert in managing and maintaining Entrust DataCard Systems of the eNID card printing facility.
KEY TASKS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The recruited incumbent will support the work of the National Statistics and Information Authority and will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing work plan to assure timely preventive maintenance of the Card Issuance System;
- Assist to Manage, maintain and monitor Entrust DataCard Card Issuance System;
- Administer and configure DPP modules which includes Card Printing Management, Card Inventory, MX Machine, Card Quality Control and Card Shipment modules;
- Maintain and monitor the data exchange activities between Card Issuance System and other modules and ensure the integrity of the data;
- Administer of DPP server-side services such as FTP, IIS, Windows server
- Provide timely technical support to the Card Printing Operational and Technical Team;
- Support organizing and conducting capacity building programs for relevant technical units of NSIA;
- Support and promote the use of innovative technology solutions in the government sector;
- Any other tasks assigned by the line manager and/or team lead.
Job Requirement
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A Master's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field of study;
- Bachelor degree with five years of relevant experience or master degree with three years of working experience;
- Good understanding in Entrust Data Card Card Issuance System;

- Strong commitment in working with the public sector;
- Ability to exhibit strong qualification and professional experience in the relevant disciplines;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and national languages i.e. Dari and Pashto;
- Ability to work with and be a partner of a team of diverse backgrounds;
- Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and work overtime when required;
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment inspiring trust and cooperation of other team members;
- Strong communication, negotiating skills and good interpersonal relations.
