Job Description
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Head of Internal Control & Compliance
Staff reporting to this post: IIC Roving Officer
• Supports Head of Internal Control and Compliance on development of annual risk-based approach plan
• Drafts ToR and working tools for planned Internal Audits for the auditee’s areas
• Executes and leads ICC Officers on conduction of the internal audit including identifying and defining internal control gaps for the North, South and East provinces of Save the Children as per approved ToR and Internal Audit Plan with instruction of supervisor
• Ensures approved ToR for the internal audit is implemented and respected and communicates identified internal control gaps with the auditees
• Supervises and supports ICC Officers on consolidation of all identified audit findings and drafts internal audit report with detail recommendations for review of Head of Internal Control and Compliance
• Leads and supports ICC Officers on perform in spot checks, internal reviews upon request of Risk Compliance Director and Head of Internal Control and Compliance Unit
• Supports his subordinates on review of supporting documentation based on selected sample and records the results of the review to internal working tools
• Executes an investigation per developed ToR and Case Management Plan under supervision of Head of ICC
• Supports the internal control and compliance team in identifying fraud, red flags and assisting on investigating the cases
• Updates and consolidates an Internal Audit Recommendation Follow Up Tracker based on developed recommendations
• Maintains and update the internal control and compliance department’s trackers
• Maintains and update the filing system of internal control and compliance department
• Supervises and manages the North, South, East Roving ICC Officers on performing day to day activities based on approved annual Risk and Compliance Plan
• Reviews drafted reports of his subordinates for further review and approval of Head of ICC
• Develops training needs plan based on identified gaps in a period of audits, reviews, etc
• Prepares training materials and presentations on particular topics and coordinates with the relevant staff an arrangement of an internal training for staff provinces
• Supports Risk and Compliance Director, Head of ICC unit on following up the identified risks of the North, South, East provinces
• Supports Risk and Compliance Management on Monthly Provincial Risk Committee
• Supports Risk and Compliance Management on updating and discussing Provincial Risk Management Plan with the Head Offices
• Provides training and capacity building based on identified risks and findings for staff at the field offices
• To perform field, visit to field offices based on agreed plan on task implementation for the selected filed office
• Delegates and supervises assigned ICC Officers on day to day activities
• Performs related work as assigned by Risk and Compliance Director and Head of Internal Control and Compliance Unit
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirement
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in business administration, finance, law or other relevant technical credentials.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Has over 3 years of experience in investigation, internal audit, control, compliance, and related fields.
• Skill in conducting quality control reviews of audit work products
• Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
• Skill in planning, project management, and maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
• Skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening and presentation of findings and recommendations.
• Good command of English language and computer literate, i.e. MS Office
• Accuracy, Good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, commitment to transparency
