Scope Of Work Cordaid and CDRO are proposing to efforts in Daikundi, both included in the AHF 3rd reserve allocation. Cordaid/CDRO will follow ES&NFI joint winterization recommendations and will distribute $200 in cash for heating materials for 3 months, US$74 for winter clothing and US$ 57 for blankets. The cash distribution will take place in one-off installment reducing the risks and maintaining project efficiency. The risks including (S)GBV associated with cash distribution including illegal taxation and extortion will be mitigated to the best level possible with appropriate measures. Cordaid and CDRO are following standardized cash distribution procedures which are in line with clusters’ guidelines, mitigating herewith the risks associated with cash distribution procedures include but are not limited to specific protection measures for elderly, PWD, women and children during cash distribution including safe distribution areas, convenient/ appropriate times (to return home) inclusion of the most vulnerable and those unable to attend distribution will be visited at home. Cordaid and CDRO will specifically target PSN, PWD and female headed households. As such, female staff will be recruited and trained to carry out the assessments and to ensure voices of women are heard, who will be part of the selection and distribution processes. Market monitoring, pre- and post-distribution monitoring and additional follow up and checks and balances will be conducted by Cordaid’s PMEAL department with support from qualified field staff of CDRO, to ensure that any negative side effects of the assistance are identified as soon as possible. Complaints, Feedbacks and Response Mechanism is in place and operational, including actively linked with Awaaz. Cordaid adheres to the Core Humanitarian Standards and for the proposed intervention, cluster standards will be strictly followed. Cordaid and CDRO are vigilant in its efforts to prevent abusive behaviors among its staff, in the field and at central office demonstrated through Cordaid’s Integrity, and Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse (PSEA) Policy on which all staff have been trained and are held accountable. The overall objective of the project is to reduce the suffering and improve the living conditions and dignity of most vulnerable people during winter by providing winterization assistance in Daikundi Province
Job Description
- The Surveyor must be familiarized with the survey system.
- To be capable to enter data into the system
- A daily visit of HH and fill related questionnaire of the required software
- Establish respectful relation with interviewee, in order to encourage them for appropriate answers
- Interview the head of household and fill up pre prepared questionnaires during field visits
- Ensure respect of rules and procedures
- Participate in trainings/workshop related to the project and job description
- Support the team leader and M&E team by providing correct and appropriate data
- Coordinate the work with field officers and awareness officers in the field
- Respecting the confidentiality of interviews and collected data
- Report his/her activities to the line manager
- Help ensure factual data from the site and properly report field related information to the relevant senior staff at the office and to the project assistant.
- Implement the project activities and ensure safe delivery of the activities as per the project implementation plan.
Job Requirement
- Graduated from BBA, Economic or any other relevant field.
- 3-5 years’ relevant position holder experience, especially within an NGO, UN agencies or similar organization.
Other skills:
- Fluent in Dari, Pashto, written and spoken, Basic English is an advantage
- Proven experience in survey and data reporting
- Experience in community-based intervention and ability to deal with different respondents;
- Very good skills on representation and speech in public;
- IT skills with excellent knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel;
- Good reporting skills and synthesis abilities;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in team;
- Be adapted to hard working environment;
