Job Description

Job Purpose

As part of the MHT, the overall purpose of this position is to manage pharmaceutical storage, prescribed distribution and reporting in Kandahar.

 Key Accountabilities 

Technical

 Manage mobile warehousing of the pharmaceuticals as per SCI requirements and SOPs

Manage supply of pharmaceutical and medical consumable for MHNTs base on the supply request
Collect monthly consumption reports and share with inventory team at provincial level
Strictly follow FIFO and FEFO procedures
Regularly check stock cards of the MHTs and work with the Project officer to prevent stock-out
Identify and report immediately any medical or administrative problems that may create issues for the project
Collect and document any adverse effects of the prescribed medicines to project beneficiaries
Perform any other task relevant to the scope of work as assigned by the line manager
Report any Child Safeguarding and/or sexual exploitation cases once encountered.

Job Requirement

QUALIFICATIONS: Pharmacist

 EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Essential

Graduated from recognized intermediate institute of pharmacy or nursing
Have one-year experience of pharmaceuticals management in health facility or warehouse level.

 

Desirable

Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner
Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity
Previous experience in NGO team
Previous experience working in insecure areas
