Job Description
Brief summary:
Under the direct supervision of Lead Consultant (LC), the Business Development Consultant (BDC) is supposed to assist the selected businesses (SMEs) in terms of business assessment, development of manuals and plans conduction of training, and other related tasks which will help the SMEs be more stable and generate more income.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of the selected SMEs and find the strengths and weaknesses of them
- Develop the assessment report listing the business needs in terms of planning, manuals, training and etc.
- Develop action plans for the assessed business(es)
- Develop comprehensive, company specific and unique:
- Financial Manual, Operational Manual, Marketing Plan and Business Plan
- Conduct company specific trainings on:
- Accounting and Finance, Operations, Marketing and Sales, Public Relations, Business Plan Development and Supply Chain Management
- On the job training for staff and owners of SMEs, if and when required
- Any other tasks guided by the Lead Consultant
Job Requirement
- Master degree in the related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor degree in the related field and at least 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience working with SMEs
- Strong analytical skills
- Good familiarity with computer (Ms. Word and Ms. Excel)
- Evidence of problem solving, demonstrating initiative, creative thinking, and unconventional approaches to work essential
- Professional in Pashto/Dari and English
- Knowledge and experience in research and data analysis
- Ability to motivate businesses to apply new knowledge
- Ability to work long hours, often under pressure
- Able to travel to districts and villages if required
- Very good communication skills
