Job Description
- Supervise protection education officers
- Planning for the education and protection activities
- Ensure implementation of protection mainstreaming in IRC projects in the target fields
- Conduct out-reaches activities to provide the refugee population with relevant information on services and address reported cases or protection concerns
- Undertake Protection monitoring activities and manage the monitoring evaluation data on field level
- Identify protection gaps related to education and concerns facing by the returnees and refugees’ population; in particular women and children of the affected communities and share the information with central office
- Contribute to creating and spreading key protection messages on children’s rights and wellbeing, child marriages, child abuse and child labor to raise awareness among the general population, through banners, campaigns, sessions during different prayers in the target communities.
- Work with parents, teachers, and community people to raise awareness about the wellbeing of children through reducing harsh punishment and improving parenting practices to help a child heal and recover
- Raise awareness-raising on protection including child protection, early and forced marriage, child labor, health and wellbeing of child and mother, education, and family planning
- Support Master Trainers and Community Mobilizers in carrying out child protection
- Assist Master Trainers and Community Mobilizers to support the children enrolled in the TLS
- Coordinate with the local community Mullahs and elders to carry out protection awareness-raising in the target communities especially
- Ensure issues and challenges are addressed in a timely and participatory manner by Informing related department and line managers
- Follow up the referrals with relevant child protection actors in order to ensure the target communities protection rights
- Contribute to regular reports development by focusing on protection measures and specific activities progress
- Organize/actively participate in the Regional and provincial Protection meetings, workshops, trainings, and draft minutes and share with central office
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including community leaders, NGOs, community-based organisations, and other IRC sectors to enhance cooperation and coordination
- Provide support, guidance and assistance to education and field staff in all the field offices on education priorities, issues, and concerns.

Job Requirement
- University Graduate
- At least 2 years professional technical experience, including 1 years implementing protection programs in emergency and conflict contexts
- Strong understanding of Islamic principles and able to provide protection information through Islamic values and ideology.
- Strong understanding of protection principles within the Afghanistan context
- Should be familiar with the area’s culture, traditions, and its sensitiveness
- Experience in working with and coordinating with INGOs and other stakeholders
- Should keep a close record of I/NGOs working in protection in the target areas.
- Strong interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills
- Good Report written skills
Fluency in both local languages and English.
