Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO) is implementing child protection initiatives to fighting Bacha Bazi and ending impunity in the country. YHDO aims to create a grassroots movement to inspire change – where communities support, not stigmatize, survivors and push for perpetrators to be held accountable for this crime.

YHDO is seeking to recruit social workers for the project in target provinces. The social worker under the direction of the YHDO’s provincial coordinator will be responsible for performing social work-related activities with project target beneficiaries and engage in public awareness activities.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Prepare and perform public awareness programs on children rights, violence against children and social support for children victims of violence.
• Distribution and keeping record of IEC materials 
• Document cases of violence and assist in providing social and legal support for survivors
• Facilitate referral of violence cases to the legal aid services provider organizations for legal support.
• Engage with local communities and families on child protection issues
• Assess and ensure safety and protection of children victims of violence
• Ensure high quality of social services within overall project
• Keep daily record in a confidential and safe manner
• Perform any other tasks assigned by direct supervisor
