About Norwegian Refugee Council: Job Overview: The purpose of the Admin assistant position is day to day implementation of the NRC routing activities, serving as messenger where will drop and collect letters/correspondence from/to different Ministers and movement departments. Job Description

Generic responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  2. Implement delegated CC project portfolio according to plan of action.
  3. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  4. Ensure proper filing of documents.
  5. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
  6. Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.

Specific responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that visa and work permit related documents are properly filed for an accurate record keeping.
  2. Delivery of documents and reports to government departments when required.
  3. Server as backup of travel officer for booking air tickets.
  4. Facilitate medical check-up for expats as part of visa and work permit requirement.
  5. Any other duties delegated by line manager.

Job Requirement

Generic professional competencies:

  1. University education, in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  2. At least two years’ experience in Administration with humanitarian organization.
  3. Fluency in English language and local languages(Dari and Pashto).
  4. Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
  5. Responsible, reliable and punctual.
  6. Ability to multi-task.
  7. Representation skills.
  8. Knowledge of archiving and filing.
  9. Strong communication skills. 
  10. Ability to work under pressure.
  11. Good IT skills.
