Purpose of the Job The purpose of the Finance Assistant position is to make cash payments/transfer and cheques to contractors and other payments as stipulated in the contract/agreement(s), Analyse financial information, prepare financial reports, maintain all financial records properly and make cash forecast on monthly basis as per NRC policies and procedures.
Job Description
Generic Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function

Specific Responsibilities
- Be responsible for cash payments/transfer and cheques to contractors, & other payments as stipulated in the contract/agreement(s) & in line with NRC Financial policies and procedures;
- Analyse financial information and prepare financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles;
- Maintain all financial records properly (hard copy and soft version);
- Payment of staff salary payroll, periderm, travel and other allowances;
- Be responsible to make cash forecast on monthly basis and send to Support office for further processing;
- Provide an enabling environment for the implementation of cash-based interventions, including multi-purpose cash assistance, emergency cash responses
- Prepare vouchers and their supporting documents
- Assists in the development of the department budget and ensures spending remains within acceptable variances;
- Maintain and follow supplier, landlord and payroll tax clearing forms;
- Responsible to introduce new hired staff to bank for account creation;
- Perform other task assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirement
Qualification
- Minimum one year Experience from working as a Finance staff in a humanitarian/recovery context
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Finance/Accounting
Language
- Pashto
- Dari
- English (Good knowledge of English with respect to Ready, Writing, Speaking and Understanding)
