About Company
About Razi Social Development Organization (RSDO): RSDO is an Afghan NGO which implements social development activities in Afghanistan since 2008. RSDO works for the development and relief of the marginalized communities to achieve economic prosperity and improve humanitarian and social capital through delivering the social, educational, and agricultural and livelihood services to vulnerable and marginalized societies. RSDO was established in 2002 under the name of Abu Hanifa Orphan High School, to assist the orphan children who lost their parents and families during the long lasting war in Afghanistan to learn and build their future. RSDO was re-registered with the government of Afghanistan as an NGO in April 2008/ throughout year of hard working, RSDO slowly developed and now has a permanent stay in Herat and temporarily present in the western region of Afghanistan such as Ghor, Badghis and Farah provinces. RSDO is a member of Afghanistan Environmental Protection and Gender Equality Network based in Herat. RSDO currently a four year social and financial reintegration project funded by TDH/BMZ in the west zone and seeks to hire qualified staff to implement the project successfully.
Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
1: GENERAL Responsibilities:
Providing marketing and value chain services to the vocational classes /students according to professional standards as proposal of project and stakeholders.
2: Specific Job Responsibilities:
- To provide demandable income generating activities and vocational trainings.
- Recommend marketable vocational trainings for beneficiaries of the project and assist them with job employment or establishment of small businesses
- Research, collect and analyses market needs, trends, competitor offerings, demographics, and other information that concludes in development of demandable products of vocational training strategy.
- Uses research findings and analysis to promote marketable income generating activities and overall strategy.
- Identifies market areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, and promotional activities.
- Provide comprehensive vocational training plan for the beneficiaries of the project.
- Assists in the interviewing, hiring, and training of vocational trainers for different vocational trainings.
- Identify skillful and eligible beneficiaries for vocational training purposes.
- Cooperate with vocational trainers for providing the vocational training handouts and materials.
- Provide training plan and conduct trainings on business management, marketing management and development of business plan for beneficiaries of the project.
- Keep regular monitoring visits of the vocational trainings and provide adjustable suggestions.
- Conduct regular follow ups to ensure the beneficiaries are applying the knowledge and skills they learned.
- Provide technical supports to the beneficiaries who completed the trainings in finding employment or start their own businesses.
- Provide monthly progress report and submit it to regional project manager.
- Travel to the operational areas for field visit purposes.
3: Communication:
- Ensure proper communication with Project Manager
- Ensure proper communication with the relevant government organizations.
4: Project Orders:
- Ensure Project manager about the project progress.
- Reporting the progress of the activities to the project manager
5: Additional Tasks:
- To carry out any additional tasks as requested.
6: Meetings:
- Attending the monthly general staff meeting of the organization.
- Attending to any meeting requested by the supervisor.
Job Requirement
1: Bachelor degree in Economy or related field.
2: At least 2 years of experience in Marketing and Value Chain area.
3: Having knowledge of languages (Dari, Pashto and English)
4: Familiar with computer programs (MS-Windows)
5: Strong in Plan and report writing.
6: Observing organizational rules.
