Job Description
- Ensure effective and accurate financial resources management and oversight, implementation of financial/economic strategies and procedures of ACHRO projects.
- Proper financial planning of the projects in accordance with ACHRO policy and plan.
- Prepare and oversight of the projects cash management processes, including liquidity management, risk assessment and timely accounting and reconciliation of all transactions.
- Ensure appropriate and effective financial and full compliance of financial activities, financial recording/reporting system, regulations, policies and strategies, implementation of the effective internal control, proper design and functioning of the financial resources management system, as per the GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to meet the UNHCR financial standards.
- Management of all financial resources through planning, guiding, monitoring and controlling of the resources in accordance with ACHRO policies and regulations.
- Works closely with the CPM and other Program staff to implement, improve and maintain financial management policies, systems, structures, and procedures.
- Ensures transactions are properly supported and documented before processing for payment.
- Conducts due diligence checks on petty cash procurement transactions, payment transactions and delivery of goods and services.
- Reviews & promptly processes paperwork to ensure timely payments to employees, contractors, suppliers and vendors;
- Ensures that all vouchers and receipts are accurately filed, stamped & recorded in Quick books/system.
- Ensures that financial implementation is in compliance with ACHRO financial, procurements and procedures, compliance with donor agreement and audit requirements.
- Assists in preparation of financial reports for the submission to relevant authorities, ministries, donors and management as required monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Keeps, maintains and ensures full security of financial records and backup documentation ready for internal and external audits.
- Any other task assigned by the Senior Management Program/Finance section.
Job Requirement
Bachelor degree from an accredited university in related field, Extensive communication experience to undergraduate level or equivalent:
Skills/Personal Requirements
- Excellent command on Quick Books is required;
- Excellent knowledge of general accounting standard and reporting system IFRS/GAAPs
- Excellent command on local languages plus English;
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail;
- Good in teaching delivery methods and familiarity
- possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
- demonstrate sound work ethics
