Job Description
- The purpose of the Livelihood Project Officer Position is to effectively and efficiently supervise and implement the projects at the field level, and to be responsible as per the below details:
- Overall management of the livelihood and Education projects (Literacy the vocational or skill development, forming Self Help Groups, and kitchen gardening awareness training) with close coordination of FC or Field officer.
- Maintain close cooperation with education officer/ field officer, community leaders and with the assisted population, as well as with all relevant stakeholders.
- Devising proper planning for implementation of livelihood portion of the projects (mentioned in1) and follow up of day to day activities of all Education and livelihood projects with close coordination of education officer.
- Responsible for ensuring that all participants in the livelihood part of the project have achieved targets of the program.
- Follow up of the project livelihood and education activities implementation in the field.
- Smooth Implementation of the prepared plan.
- Implement project activities in accordance with the project guidelines and targets(Community mobilization, identifying income generation opportunities)
- Support the quality control it means provided by the line manager, and ensure the reporting about capacity gaps.
- Forming SHG among the literacy student and establishing a system for income generation and saving.
- Ensure a positive working environment and good team dynamics (solve out potential conflicts)
- Representation IRW vis-a-vis district authorities participate in official meetings to ensure maximum visibility
- Prepare monthly quarterly, result based activity plan the livelihood/ education activities of the projects
- Prepare monthly, quarterly result based progressive report the relevant activities.
- Designing of trainings to the beneficiaries accordingly to the approved proposal of the projects.
- Inspire staff to excel in their jobs, while also achieving goals and meeting deadlines.
- Preparing and coordinating daily plan and activities that contributes to the objective of the project.
- Appropriately planning for visibility of IRW activities in the field.
- Regular field visit from the project site
- On time reporting of the overall activities being undertaken at the field level to field Coordinator.
- Monitoring and supervision of the activities at the field level and sharing the findings with the field coordinator and relevant staff for improvement.
- Keep the perfect record, and filing system of the project activities, and do the proper data collection.
- Develop success stories for the monthly report and newsletter
- Data collection, survey and small research from the project in the initial implementation step of the projects.
- Participating in the emergency responses incidences on need basis in the field.
- Providing help in implementation of the seasonal project at the field level.
- Perform any other task assigned or required.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor Degree in agriculure, animal husbandary/veterinary,social science or any any relavent fields.
Experience:
- At least 3 years’ work experience, agricultre, livestock, value chain, community development and any relavent fields.
- Experience in staff management, public outreach/ counseling, community mobilization, data collection and coordination with stakeholders
- Strong Command on Dari and English both written and spoken.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-ethnic team and take on diverse tasks.
- Working experience in the same local community, district, villages and familiar with society
