About TLO: The Liaison Office (TLO) founded in 2003 as an Afghan non-governmental organization (NGO) that emerged from a Swisspeace pilot project (supported by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung) with the aim of improving local governance, stability, and security through systematic and institutionalized engagement with customary structures, local communities, civil society groups, and government institutions. TLO is based in Kabul, with regional offices in Paktia, Khost, Kandahar, Herat, Mazar, and Nangarhar and additional field offices across Afghanistan. TLO works to achieve its objectives through key program activities: research and analysis, dialogue facilitation for peacebuilding, access to justice and governance, humanitarian assistance, third party monitoring and evaluation, and environment & natural resources management.
Job Description
Objective:
The Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Specialist will report to the project co-lead manager and be responsible for developing and executing effective digital marketing strategies, optimizing e-commerce platforms, and driving online sales to support the growth of MSMEs in Afghanistan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Specialist with private-sector stakeholders in the country.
- Conducting digital marketing and e-commerce training sessions for MSMEs, focusing on topics such as digitalization, online marketing, green businesses, standardization, and labeling.
- Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to promote MSMEs' products and services online.
- Optimizing e-commerce platforms to enhance online sales and customer engagement.
- Providing technical assistance to CSOs to enhance their capacity to provide effective support to MSMEs.
- Providing regular support services for ongoing ad-hoc capacity strengthening, including awareness sessions, guidance, and assistance on complying with relevant laws and regulations.
- Create a detailed digital marketing strategy document outlining the approach, objectives, and expected outcomes.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of e-commerce platforms to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations for optimizing e-commerce platforms to enhance online sales and customer engagement.
- Develop a training manual on digital marketing, e-commerce, and other relevant topics.
- Perform any other task assigned by the leadership.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, e-commerce platforms, and online sales strategies.
- Experience in training and capacity-building programs for MSMEs.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
