Job Description

Context:

Under the overall supervision of the CCCM Program Coordinator and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the successful candidate will contribute to roll out IOM CCCM programmes and will be responsible to support IOM CCCM unit, he/she will perform the following duties.

 

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for all reception duties related to the Community Resource Centres.
  2. Responsible for welcoming and attending beneficiaries and visitors at the reception point.
  3. Attend questions of visitors and beneficiaries and provide relevant and appropriate information to the asked questions.
  4. Provide information session to the beneficiary when needed.
  5. Maintain info session materials updated and regular follow-up with CRC Team Leader and the IM & Referral FP to make sure nothing is missed.
  6. Support IM & Referral FP in terms of collecting appropriate information for referrals and sharing the information on timely manner with the focal point to make sure its referred on time.
  7. Direct beneficiaries and visitors to the relevant services in the CRC or referral FP where referrals are needed.
  8. Maintain the CRC hotline numbers, making sure the phone calls are answered.
  9. Participate in the planning of event celebration, organizing meetings with service providers and community leaders.
  10. Take notes on what is needed for the CRC in terms of equipment and sharing it with the Team Leader and Field Assistant to be further shared with relevant CCCM staff in Kabul.
  11. Translate the materials shared internally and externally by the service providers.
  12. Keep contact lists for all national and international staff always updated.
  13. Carry out any other tasks requested by Line Manager

Job Requirement

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution, preferably in social sciences, political science, development, international relations, or related field with at least one year of relevant work experience

or

High school diploma in the above fields of studies with three years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Experience in a Camp Coordination and Camp Management (an advantage)
  • Experience in attending the clints and beneficiaries
  • Strong ability to engage with community members, partners, and other stakeholders in a respectful manner (essential).
  • Familiarity with the local area and surrounding (desirable)
  • Experience with participatory fieldwork, methodologies, and monitoring

SKILLS

  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a team of colleagues of varied cultural and professional backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently, with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging settings, under pressure while respecting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability for leadership in the context of partnership building and consensual decision-making.
  • Knowledge of camp management-related technical guidelines, standards, and indicators.
  • Knowledge on Microsoft word, Excel, power point, database management, data entry is required.

Languages

  • For all Applicants, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
  • Working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is required.
  • Fluency in all national language(s) are highly advantages.
