About Afghanistan Green Future Organization: The Afghanistan Green Future Organization (AGFO) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Afghanistan. It was established in March 2013 by a group of young professionals and experienced individuals from various backgrounds. AGFO is registered under the Ministry of Economy in Afghanistan. AGFO is dedicated to community capacity building and issue-based networking, with a primary focus on education, health, human rights, culture, media and social media, environment, and gender justice in Afghanistan. The organization aims to support the weaker sections of society and works towards improving their living conditions. One of AGFO's key areas of focus is the protection of women's rights in society. The organization strives to promote women's general awareness and improve their living conditions by collaborating with external financial supporters and utilizing media power to achieve its goals. A particular focus lies in the implementation of sustainable programs, ensuring that the benefits of training extend beyond the immediate period. AGFO achieves this by offering comprehensive consultation and advisory services, thereby fostering the growth and prosperity of women's small and medium-sized businesses. AGFO has established robust collaborations with prominent online platforms, empowering women to showcase their products to both domestic and international markets. Additionally, AGFO facilitates connections with wholesalers within the local market, enabling women entrepreneurs to sell their products in bulk quantities. By tapping into these avenues, AGFO strives to provide women with an expanded scope for reaching customers and expanding their businesses, thereby facilitating their economic empowerment and self-sufficiency. In a country that faces numerous challenges, including internal conflicts and socioeconomic instability, AGFO recognizes the importance of addressing these challenges systematically. The organization believes that solutions can be found through the analysis of problems and the development of theories for change. AGFO aligns its efforts with the Afghanistan National Development Strategy (ANDS), which serves as a poverty reduction strategy paper to address these challenges and pave the way for a more stable and prosperous Afghanistan. Mission: To provide capacity-building and support services in various sectors, including education, health, human rights, culture, media, social media, gender justice, and the environment. The organization aims to deliver quality services through effective planning, organizing, implementation, and control of its managerial processes. Vision: To create a green future for Afghanistan, focusing on the well-being of women, children, and the environment. The organization emphasizes the development of primary needs such as health improvement, education, and environmental protection. AGFO strives to make a significant impact on the lives of Afghans and contribute to the country's development. To ensure successful operation and transparency, AGFO has a strong organizational structure with a board of directors and an executive board. The board of directors provides advice for the organization's betterment, while the executive board makes strategic decisions and oversees the implementation of AGFO's policies and procedures. In terms of funding, AGFO primarily relies on locally mobilized resources and the contributions of its founding members. The organization has also successfully implemented projects in collaboration with national and international agencies. Overall, the Afghanistan Green Future Organization (AGFO) is committed to building a brighter future for Afghanistan by addressing key issues such as education, health, human rights, culture, media, social media, environment, and gender justice.
