Job Description

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: 
•    The FSL Project Coordinator will manage the implementation of Save the Children’s DANIDA SPA  grant in designated province achieving full targets and demonstrating methodologies that are committed in the project proposal. The incumbent is responsible for project planning & implementation (livelihood and child protection), monitoring of field activities, and strengthening liaison and coordination with government and communities.
•    Manage the implementation of the DANIDA SPA  -funded livelihood and child protection project in a designated province based on project logical framework, detailed implementation plan, and project cycle management.
•    Have the ability of villages selection and community mapping to set up village committee/empower the village committee.
•    Have the ability and knowledge on cash-based programing and intervention for food security and livelihood.
•    Coordinate with GoA for area and beneficiary selection according to the set criteria. Ensure full participation by all partners and stakeholders in project planning, implementation and MEAL (monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning) related activities.
•    Provide technical and managerial supports to implementation of baseline survey, market assessment and beneficiary assessment and registration.
•    Build the capacities of project staff in livelihood and protection programming for displaced population and cash based programming.
•    Develop project procurement plan.
•    Prepare a monthly cash requirement forecast for project activities calculating procurement costs as per the procurement plan and other project expenditures.
•    Submit regular project implementation reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to supervisors based on the requirements of the project.
•    Back stop all administrative & logistics support matters of the project activities – including documentation, approval and actual payment, any other required paper-work, liaison with finance and procurement at provincial.
•    Establish meaningful working relationship with project stakeholders such as government departments, UN agencies, other international organizations working for displaced population, district level authorities, and community members.
•    Report on any problems to the supervisors promptly that encountered in the field and/or in the office such as procurement problems, project participant complaints, local authority interference and security threats to staff and activities.
•    Participate in the Provincial Government meetings, meeting with GoA and relevant UN bodies and represent FSL confidently with updated information and play diplomatically with issues where required.
•    Attend Save the Children Provincial Senior staff meeting regularly.
•    Delegate authority to the reliable and trustable next level supervisee as OIC in case of absence of duty station for a day or more.

•    Staff Management
•    Ensures proper staff onboarding to newly hired staff including - work orientation, administrative requirements such as equipment, workspace and introduction team and stakeholders
•    Develops the unit goals and strategies and ensures that it is aligned with the approved project/program proposal
•    Facilitates the creation and evaluation of individual staff and team goals and performance and provides feedback to ensure that the unit goals are being achieved
•    Devise effective and efficient task structure for the team and continuously monitor team’s workload to ensure quality and efficiency of output
•    Conducts coaching and mentoring sessions with line managed staff and review staff’s performance in relation to the goals set
•    Recommends staff for training and development based on work and development goals
•    Ensures all line managed staff are adheres to policies, procedures and timelines including but not limited to timesheet submission, goal setting and performance review 
•    Creates, updates and revises job descriptions of subordinates
•    Promotes wellness and harmonious working relationships among the staff
•    Initiates activities that will promote employee morale and wellness
•    Ensures the appropriate use and security of assets and equipment assigned to the project/program office area.
•    Ensures that program staff and visitors adhere to safety and security policies and procedures in coordination with the Safety and Security Focal Person
•    Ensures proper housekeeping of physical and electronic files and project assets are accounted for and deployed as appropriate

•    Performs other official duties as assigned by the supervisor and by the senior managers of the organization in line with organization's policies, procedures, mandate and strategies.    
•    Contributes to organizational learning and enhanced capacity in planned interventions and activities by providing feedback to the team on things and areas that are to be improved
•    Contributes to the running monitor of the prevailing security conditions by gathering security-related information.
•    Assists in ensuring that the necessary measures are in place to ensure security, safety, health, and of well-being Save the Children staff, and other visitors; and that security standards and procedures are strictly adhered to.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
At have 2 years of relevant experience 
Essential
    Strong expertise in livelihood programming 
    Familiarity with child protection programming
    Maturity and confidence in dealing with the staff of government institutions, and communities.
    Good communication (both oral and written) in English and local languages, people skills for conflict resolution and negotiation.
    Computer proficiency, especially related to professional office software packages (Microsoft Office);
    Budget managing skills
