Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly check relevant websites and portals to identify funding opportunities, listing them and sharing the information with the supervisor.
- Develop proposals, concept notes, grant applications, and other related documents.
- Create proposal content that is clear, persuasive, and tailored to the needs of the funding agency.
- Make sure that the proposals adhere to the donor requirements and guidelines.
- Conduct research to gather information relevant to proposal development.
- Analyze donor requirements, including RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Quotes), to understand their needs and objectives.
- Develop resource mobilization work plans and constantly follow-up the implementation of the plan
- Work closely with project managers, technical experts, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that proposals are accurate and complete.
- Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and proposals are submitted on time.
- Develop and maintain proposal schedules, tracking progress and adjusting timelines as needed.
- Review and revise proposals to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Incorporate feedback from reviewers and make necessary revisions.
- Maintain organized records of all proposal-related documents and communications.
- Prepare and present reports on proposal outcomes and process improvements.
- Contribute to the production of the EWSSO’s newsletter development and distribution to donors particularly highlighting funds generated and resources mobilized.
Job Requirement
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Sociology, Project Management, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Proposal Writer/Resource Mobilization Officer or similar roles.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and standards (if applicable).
