About Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan: About RRAA: Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (RRAA) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political NGO established in 1990. The head office of the organization is in Kabul, Afghanistan and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of WASH, Good Governance, and Livelihood through its regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and central zone in a decentralized manner.

Job Description

  1. Technical Tasks:
    • Ensure all required information and documents to Community Resilience and Livelihoods Project are entered in MIS and submitted to database officer.
    • Conducting of awareness and relevant training sessions with community and CDCs.
    • Facilitating and implementation and follow up of project activities in provincial and district level.
    • Updating the community profile with communities.
    • Prepare community beneficiary list.
    • Informing the CDC when their fund is disbursed and arrived at the CDC Bank account.
    • Ensuring the transparency and accountability at the community level.
    • Supporting the CDCs and its procurement sub-committees on the procurement process.
    • Completion of all financial and procurement document.
    • Make sure the confirmation and approval of all financial documents by CDC and its record in CDC file
    • Conduct surveys and assessment when needed.

     

    1. Monitoring and reporting:
      • Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
      • Monitoring construction/rehabilitation, canal cleaning activities as per standards and agreed specifications.
      • Visiting project site regularly and provides, daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
      • Generate progress report and share it with the provincial manager on due dates
      • Generate report of monitoring visits and share it with the provincial and package managers.
      • Accompany Head office staff and donors during monitoring of the project sites.
      • Report any child labour noticed under the project to the provincial and package managers
      • Report any safeguarding issues noticed (sextual exploitation, abuse and harassment) under the project to the provincial and package manager

     

    1. Coordination:
      • Coordinate all technical issues and project activities with the project team on regular basis
      • Coordinate and communicate any technical errors and faults with the provincial manager and package manager on timely manager.
      • Attend the coordination meetings held in relevant province.
      • Coordinate the challenges and problems of the project with the project team and local authorities.
      • Coordinate all your field visits and trips with the Safety/Security Focal Point (SSFP).

     

    1. Safety/Security:
      • Ensure all personal safety and security issues are considered while in the office and project site.
      • Follow all security and safety messages dispatched by the Safety/Security focal point and regional office. 
      • Follow the organization safety security SOPs and ensure all advice recommended are implemented.
      • Report any safety/security issues and incidents to the SSFPs, provincial manager and regional office.
      • Coordinate all your field tripes with SSFP and provincial manager

     

    1. Compliance:
      • Responsible for reviewing and implementing RRAA’s staff code of conduct and other safeguarding policies such as (Safety/Security SOPs, AAP, PSEA, ESHS, HR)
      • Ensure all staff under your supervision have gone through staff code of conduct and other safeguarding policies and perform in accordance with them.
      • In compliance with RRAA code of conduct and policies, ensure no child labor are used in the CFW component of the project. Any child labor noticed shall be reported to the provincial and package managers immediately.
      • Ensure all project activities are implemented in accordance with the donor, operational manual and RRAA policies and procedures.

     

    1. Confidentiality:
    • Follow data confidentiality measures, such as encryption, access controls, data masking, and strict policies.
    • play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive information from unauthorized access or disclosure. 
    • Plays an essential role in protecting individuals, maintaining business security and safeguarding private data.
    • Computer management is a broad topic that includes many essential security practices. By protecting devices, you can also protect the data they contain. Follow basic cybersecurity hygiene by using anti-virus software, routinely patching software, whitelisting applications, using device passcodes, suspending inactive sessions, enabling firewalls, and using whole-disk encryption.

     

Job Requirement

    • University degree in BBA, Economics, Computer Science, Literature, Administration Law and Political Sciences or relevant field
    • At least two-year relevant project implementation experience in food security and Livelihood programmes with emergency cash distributions within NGOs or similar
    • Familiarity with the local culture and language(s)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Computer literacy such as Ms Office
    • Good knowledge of using the KOBO mobile system
    • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Flexible, patient, and committed to supporting vulnerable communities
    • Fluency in both written and spoken English, Pashtu and Dari
