Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Data Collection Officer will work in the Psychosocial Counseling Center (PSCC) established in the national, Regional, Provincial and District Hospital. The detailed job description is mentioned below.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of PSCCs in-charge the data collection officer will be responsible to:
- Assist women and girls coming to PSCCs that require support and assistance.
- Provide Psychological first aid and psychosocial support to clients and link them to other services available at PSCCs, such as PSS case management and medical services.
- Refer clients to case workers, as relevant and subject to the client's consent.
- Coordinate with PSCC In-charge and PSS counselor and provide them support in tasks related to PSCCs.
- Provide information to the PSS clients about the available service inside the hospital.
- Maintain data collection registers and other information as per organization and donor requirements on already developed tools.
- Support collecting and analyzing sex - and age-disaggregated data at PSCCs and cross check the compiled report with registers and to make sure the accuracy of the report.
- Responsible for all data collection/entry related tasks in PSCC.
- Keep all the information confidential and protect clients from further harm by following the guiding principles.
- Perform any other project related duty assigned by Psychosocial Counseling Centers (PSCC) In charge.
- Work closely with other staff members to build a professional team.
- Provide and submit reports to psychosocial Counseling Centers (PSCC) In-charge and will keep it for the file record.
- Based on the request of the authorized person, attend, and participate in all relevant meetings/training-related meetings for the program's purpose.

- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

- Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.
Safeguarding:
- It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons.
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, and related backgrounds are preferable.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the same field as in experiences with NGOs/INGOs.
- Experience working with women and girls and protection services in the field.
Competency:
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with MS- Office Package.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with women and girls and protection services in the field.
- Fluent in Dari/ Pashto. Having a good command of the English language, both written and spoken will be an added advantage.
