About Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan: Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (RRAA) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political NGO established in 1990. The head office of the organization is located in Kabul, Afghanistan, and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of Livelihood, Good Governance, WASH, and Emergency through its four regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and the central zone in a decentralized manner.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a door-to-door survey and assessment of the affected population through a beneficiary selection form using KOBO mobile data collection.
  • Capable of conducting and doing all types of surveys in different geographic conditions and areas.
  • Sharing of the collected data and information with the project manager
  • Review and recheck the data and information on the ground.
  • Ensure surveying equipment (tablets) works well by conducting regular maintenance.
  • Ensure the proper and final list of beneficiaries is available at hand
  • Call the beneficiaries and arrange the distribution process
  • Ensure the distribution center is ready for the distribution process
  • Take fingerprints of beneficiaries on the distribution forms
  • Ensure the beneficiaries have valid NID and take a copy of each and every beneficiary’s IND
  • Ensure the distribution lists are signed and stamped by the representatives and the project stakeholders.
  • Ensure fingerprints are identified and enough spaces are between each fingerprint
  • Ensure duplication is avoided
  • Ensure distribution lists are clean and tidy and are submitted to the line manager as soon as they are completed.
  • Computerize the distribution list and ensure lists are scanned timely.
  • Ensure order during the distribution process and prioritize elderlies, people with disabilities women, and children
  • Controlling and organizing sessions for the distribution of assistance.
  • Take part in post-distribution monitoring (PDM)
  • Regular participation in coordination meetings, and staff meetings held at the provincial or district level.
  • Frequent travel to project sites, in the targeted districts of Nangarhar province.
  • Provision of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • Maintaining good relations with other authorities and emergency actors
  • Perform any other duty required by the project manager.

Compliance with policies:

  • Compliance with RRAA’s staff code of conduct and other safeguarding policies such as (Safety/Security SOPs, AAP, PSEA, ESHS, and HR)
  • Make sure all activities under the project are done based on the organization's policies and procedures.

  • Hold self-accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modeling RRAA values
  • Holds the team and partners accountable to deliver on their responsibilities - giving them the freedom to deliver in the best way they see fit, providing the necessary development to improve performance, and applying appropriate consequences when results are not achieved.

Coordination:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships, with their team, colleagues, Members, and external partners and supporters
  • Approachable, good listener, easy to talk to

Representation:

Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, and events related to the assigned project package.

Job Requirement

  1. University degree in BBA, Economics, Computer Science, Literature, Administration Law and Political Sciences
  2. At least two-year relevant project implementation experience in food security and Livelihood programmes with emergency cash distributions within NGOs or similar
  3. Familiarity with the local culture and language(s)
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Computer literacy such as Ms Office
  6. Good knowledge of using the KOBO mobile system
  7. Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  8. Flexible, patient, and committed to supporting vulnerable communities
