About ASLO: ASLO is registered with Ministry of Economy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013. Registration number (2852) was awarded to ASLO through NGOs Department of Ministry of Economy Kabul Afghanistan. Job Description
• Guidance of and support to project field staff
• Ensure adherence of project field staff to ASLO policies, guidance and procedures
• Contribute to project strategy development, reports and provide input on needs and gaps
• Provide regular progress reports of the activities.
• Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities
• Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
• Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
• Oversee the planning and implementation of labor market study to be implemented in the target areas, in close coordination with regional counterparts.
• Design and coordinate baseline surveys, market assessments, conduct feasibility studies, facilitate the analysis of Livelihood opportunities and produce the potential livelihood information pack.
• Provide technical direction, leadership in beneficiary selection and training for beneficiaries on business planning, income generation and strengthening of small scale businesses
• Set up learning objectives and topics by trades/skill for the vocational trainers.
• Facilitate the request/procurement of the necessary materials and other training supplies according to selected skills/trades
• Capacity building and supervision of Livelihood Skills (vocational) trainers
• Supervise and support beneficiaries in Livelihood Skills (vocational) training
• Collect all information like beneficiary lists, registration forms, distribution lists etc. concerned to vocational training.
• Liaise and coordinate submissions, revisions and prepare as well as check the required list of documents for MoE submissions.
• Prepare and follow up correspondences with Authorities and related departments. Support the document completion process to be submitted as required by the local authorities on behalf of the ASLO.
• ensuring smooth implementation of project activities
• Be informed and analyze regional issues related to livelihoods
• Any other task as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor degree in preferably in development studies or any other related field.
- 5 Years of experience as a Manager/Coordinator of a vocational training projects as well as livelihoods projects in complex emergencies and in a challenging security environment.
- Fluency in English, Dari and Pashto, both written and verbal
- Ability to work, lead and manage in a diverse cultural and social context.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work on computer programs
