Job Description
Position Summary: The basic role of this position is effective community mobilization to implement the Emergency Food Security Project, with a specific focus on livestock, beekeeping, and poultry-related activities. The post holder will ensure that project activities are well understood and accepted by the target community through proper community mobilization. They will also ensure that the neediest and eligible beneficiaries are selected based on the project criteria and will oversee the implementation of livestock, beekeeping, and poultry projects. This role requires 2-3 years of experience in livestock/veterinary education, knowledge, and related fields.
Direct Program Implementation:
Conduct community mobilization, sensitization, assessments, and beneficiary profile surveys through KOBO within the target communities, and support project-relevant data collection in project coverage areas.
Develop and implement community mobilization strategies and action plans in collaboration with project staff and community members. Ensure that appropriate community mobilization curricula, materials, and discussion guidelines are prepared, reviewed, updated, and followed.
Organize and facilitate community meetings, training sessions, and events to raise awareness, build consensus, and foster community participation.
Receive and safely store inputs at district centers and identify distribution points.
Conduct technical training sessions for project beneficiaries on livestock, beekeeping, and poultry management.
Oversee the distribution of inputs to selected beneficiaries.
Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and partner organizations to mobilize support and resources for project activities.
Provide training, capacity building, and support to community members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capacity for active participation and leadership.
Collect and manage data on community engagement and participation to track progress and inform decision-making.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community mobilization activities, identify lessons learned, and recommend adjustments to improve outcomes.
Provide timely support and information sharing with project beneficiaries during agriculture and livestock input distribution and other events.
Provide support to the M&E Officer for proper documentation of distributed items and other activities.
Conduct post-distribution monitoring visits to project implementation sites.
Any other activities assigned by the provincial project lead or supervisor.
Supervision:
Mobilize and make communities aware of project objectives, outputs, activities, and M&E systems.
Facilitate the dissemination of project and activity information at all events, such as training sessions and workshops.
Prepare and implement action plans for quality monitoring.
Ensure community awareness and engagement in project objectives and activities.
Reports and Coordination:
Coordinate NAC’s activities under the agriculture project and build effective coordination and cooperation among all stakeholders.
Collect data and write periodic reports (weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly), in addition to distribution reports after each distribution of project inputs to beneficiaries.
Report directly to the Project Coordinator.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in livestock management, animal science, veterinary, or other related field of study is mandatory.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in livestock/veterinary, or related fields.
Proven experience in community mobilization, specifically within livestock, beekeeping, and poultry projects.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
Proficiency in using data collection tools such as KOBO.
Commitment to the project's goals and values.
Work Experience:
At least 2-3 years of work experience in community mobilization in in livestock/veterinary, knowledge, and related fields.
Skills:
Good training skills on agriculture-related topics and other related topics
Working in emergency teams
Being part of assessment team
Good skill of coordination and cooperation with local communities
Should have understanding of local norms and culture
